The Song of Songs

I was reading the bible the other day and was hit by inspiration to type down some parts from the book of "THE SONGS OF SONGS".

Chapter 1 verse 10: Your cheeks show fair between their pendants and your neck within its
necklaces. We shall make you golden earrings and beads of silver.

Chapter 1 verse 15: How beautiful you are, my love, how beautiful you are! your eyes are doves.
Chapter 2 verse 2: As a lily among the tistles, so is my love among the maidens.

Chapter 4 verse 2: Your teeth are like a flock of shorn ewes as they come up from the washing.
Each one has its twin, not one unpaired with another.

Chapter 4 verse 3: Your lips are a scarlet thread and your words enchanting. Your cheeks,
behind your veil, are halves of promegranate.

Chapter 4 verse 7: You are wholly beautiful, my love, and without a blemish.

Chapter 4 verse 9: You ravish my heart with a single one of your glances, with one single pearl
of your necklace.

Chapter 4 verse 13: Your shoots form an orchard of promegranate trees, the rarest essences
are yours: nard amd saffron, calamus and cinnamon, with all the incense-
bearing trees; myrrh and aloes. With the subtlest odours. Fountain that
makes the garden fertile, well of living water, streams flowing down from
lebanon.

Chapter 6 and 7 : The whole of the Bridegroom part of these two poems it's too long. Go get
your bible lol :D

Chapter 8 verse 5: Who is this coming from the desert leaning on her beloved?

I awakened you under the apple tree, here where your mother conceived
you, there where she who gave birth to you conceived you.

Set me like a seal on your heart, like a seal on your arm. For love is strong as
death, jealousy relentless as sheol. The flash of it is a flash of fire, a flame of
Yahweh himself. Love no flood can quench, no torrents drown.

Amazing that people thousands of years ago are so romantic :)

SIANsational post

I'm feeeling SIANsation now... why? Because I found out that I'll be on duty tomorrow(tuesday) and I just came home to an empty house. Sis just flew to melbourne and my parents and mei mei are in the north having a holiday. Feel very down now. Come to camp just to know you'll nolonger be doing guard duty(which is once a month) but admin duties(2x a month... 1 weekday and 1 weekend! It's a 24 hours duty) and coming back to an empty home. Can somebody cheer me up?

Killing 2 bird(day) parties with 1 stone, tea with sis and a walk down memory lane...

Current events(haha =P), Don and Edmund celebrated thier 21st birthdays yesterday. All I can say is 2 words, Wah Lao. What a day it was man! Was supposed to go to Don's place first with my Big Aunty and Mun but then big aunty forgot her wallet and had to keblakang pusing and Mun happened to meet another friend in orchard and had to come late. Both fly my aeroplane... PUI! That left me as the first person to Don's place and I was the first guest somemore. So paiseh. Haha Anyway, being first there wasn't bad at all lah. I tested don's "brain age" with my nintendo ds and he got a "brain age" of 68 years haha :D Later my Big aunty came and she also took the challenge and got 57 years(I think). Both of u cannot beat me! I'm 25(but my first time was 66 hehe).

After almost 2 hours at Don's place Big aunty and I went over to Ed's birthday party all the way at Pasir Ris, Costa Sands. Imagine one end to the other of SG and a 2+ hour journey! Just before we left, Mun came... lucky we were able to take a 1/2 TSTS pic before leaving(dun worry girls, we still felt your presence)! Lucky the painfully long ride was dramatically shortened by the company of THE aunty haha. Was chatting the whole time and looking at my sis' pics(i was using her cam mah). So we reached Ed's chalet with only 1 hour left until the last bus and train back home. haha travel 2 hours just to enjoy for an hour, what irony. But too bad the action was over when we reached(By then Ed turned into chocolate already, go figure) and we found out that the rest of our class did not turn up leaving Ed, Big Aunty and I the only people from NP Biotech. Took alotta lame pics... pretend kissing... exchanging of glasses and sunglasses... pretend seriousness... Who wants to see? Let me know and I'll send!

Before Current events(hahaha), tea with sis. Was out with my sis yesterday afternoon to accompany her to get a birthday cake for her "samurai". Before that we met Maryanne who was on the way to "study". She was very unappriately dressed. Who goes to study in very short shorts, a speghetti strap and a jacket? Both my sis and I wondered. Anyway, got her birthday cake at this japanese bakery, Cafe Rosso at Holland Village. The cakes there were quite expensive but the ingredients they use is really good quality. I got a fromage(cheese) tart and my sis got a sweet potato pie. Eating there made me like sweet potato for the first time! haha :P makes me wanna bring shiroi tora~blehz~ there one day. Went to FOS store(yeah, Full Of Shit store hahahaha) after that and was quite surprised they sell Abercrombie t-shirts but well... lets say they're not my type lah. By the way, the real FOS is Factory Outlet Store.

Less-than-current events(muahahaha), nostalgia. This post is 2 weeks late! Went to good ol' Jurong west for dinner with my parents and Gloria. Really, that place still looks like the late 80s and early 90s Singapore. From the rows of first level convenience stores to the Hawker center that still looks the same as when I was a boy! I really like and miss that era of SG. My growing up years...

I've got nightvision in one eye!

And 3 days MCs worth at the same time! Why? Because a rubber band hit my right eye at point blank range while I was in office. Now everything's blurry and it keeps tearing. The only relief that I get is from the eyedrops that the doc gave. He told me I got abrasions, swelling, trauma and slight bleeding in my eye but its not serious and would probably be ok in 2 days time. Have to see him again tomorow, hope everything's ok!

So what does it feel like to have something hit your eye directly? Excruciating and you have a headache and 1/2 of the face's in pain. Main vision's blurred and pheripheral vision's all black! My situational awareness was so reduced I almost got hit by both the nurses running around in the hospital and then a car when i was jaywalking after i left haha. Even after the accident and my boss and my friends were all worried and around me I was amazed I could still joke around and make them laugh! haha :D

Louis was very nice to drive me to the camp's medical center which is very far from the office, in his WRX! haha :P The moment I reached the medical center the doc immediately sent me to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. Got the greem army minivan to drive me there haha. Second time I got driven in that vehicle!(First time was when my back got injured.)

So how's my vision as of now? The "blackside" is cleared now but i still can't read stuff(that's why i had to type with my right eye closed muahahaha), lucky I still have my left eye! At night, everything I see with my right eye is brighter because the eyedrops causes my pupils to dilate more, giving me "natural nightvision". Let's pray I regain 100% vision in the coming days. Wondering why there's a discrepency betwen the date this weblog entry is published and the real publishing date? Because some people are having tests now and I dun want them to worry(you know who u are).

When ejection is pronounced wrongly

You get ejaculation because Wong was talking to matt, our Air Force pilot, about the plane malfunctioning and ejecting out of the plane when Wong said, so when you ejaculate out of the plane... Haha that was the joke of the day! Met up with my OCS Friends Ci Wen, Matt and Wong yesterday. Our appointment was supposed to be cancelled because Ci Wen had to be conducting officer at the last minute. Anyway, I went to Plaza Singapura first with my mom and younger sis for breakfast(and boy did it suck! Next time I'll just stick to Cafe Cartel... who wants to know where I had breakfast can pm me... I dun wanna get sued) and didn't expect to meet them for the rest of the day till I saw Ci Wen and his friend there. Thankfully, I was with my younger sis who was playing one of the rides when i saw him going up the escalator with a friend for a movie. After messaging each other awhile we agreed to meet later in the evening together with the rest.

So after mom and sis went back I continued to Robinsons to look for a "Shiroi tora" didn't have it in neither cards n such nor Kalm. Headed to HMV but obviously they didn't have it there too and neither did they have the new Star Wars unedited DVDs... Tsumaranai ne... Lucky Plaza was slightly better because I got a new game there which i bought for just 40 bucks! The other stores were selling that game at 59-69 bucks! So I think I got quite a good deal for it lah. At first the guy at the store offered it for 45 but when i was about to leave he offered it for 40 :P not bad... Next went to Scotts because the gramophone cd sale is still on! Got the "coda" cd from led zeppelin for 11 bucks! Basically retail therapy day lah.

After that round of shopping I met Ci Wen at Taka and we then headed to coffee bean where Bernard and Soo Lim joined us but I feel rather guilty because I didn't talk to them much but spent the whole time yakking with Ci Wen. Matt came later but that didn't help the situation too even though he and Soo Lim are fellow pilots because the 3 of us were only talking about our good ol cadet days haha.

Wong was super late because he had to fix his bike! After a late dinner at mos burger... mmm croquette and teriyaki rice beef burger... we met up at coffee bean(again) at the forum. Chatted till past midnight then we decided to go for a show, any show. Couldn't believe so many people were still at cineleisure after 1.30! So when we went up and saw the timings, I sian 1/2 liao. The show that they wanted to watch, pulse, already started and I'm not a fan of horror shows. So I hesitated but when I saw the poster... quite interesting... but too bad lah it was already 20 minutes into the show and I hate to miss even 5 minutes of it. In the end we just had drinks at a small cafe till 3am. Haven't went home so late for quite awhile already... Tired but definitely shiok!

They say the pen is mightier than the sword...

I have found out that it is indeed true... Since William, our signal spec is ORDing and there's still no one to replace him, they've posted me out and back to the camp to take over his appointment. Not a glamourous job I must say but since it's 8-5 I dun think there's much to complain about haha. I think I'll be the first OCS trained(hey! I endured 3+ months of it and after posting out, another 3 months of cadet auschwitz in that hell of a stoopid unit before succumbing to knees and back injuries, permanent I should say... so sad 2 months short of being called 2LT Lionel) signal spec in the camp! HAHA I've just set the standard... Anyone wanna contest me? OK 7+ more months of work, which after clearing leave equates to slightly more than 6 months left in this army that I have to endure!

I wonder, how different life will be like if I stayed in infantry OCS for proterm and commissioned(and possibly with a Sword Of Merit)? Because of my wanting to sign on at that time, I would've been a Guards Platoon Commander by now... It really makes me wonder... Maybe I would've still thought that national slavery was actually good(oh, the horror!!). But anyway, the thing is, I dun think it was meant to be lah. I was destined for greater heights anyway, god willing! MUAHAHAHAHAHA :D

Tribute

In response to the KPOness of my fans I have decided to reveal to them the greatness of my big sister. haha. I dunno what's the big fuss. I'll start from the beginning... Like the typical brother-sister relationship we were fighting and arguing evesince the day i could remember. My mom said i would always destroy her stuff... I remember some of it still haha anyway... I was constantly bullied by her as far as I could remember(sis if you are reading this I'll let ya know that u used to chase me around the dining table with the cane, and you were usually successful at whacking me!) and it got so bad i remembered I kicked her in the gut once, pushed her down the stairs and even tried to suffocate her! Thinking back, I'm flabbergasted at my lack of humanity even during those childhood years! Goes to show that children are not as pure and innocent as how we think of them to be huh? But I thank god that my attempts at hurting her at those moments of anger did not cause her any permanent harm. My life would've been totally different and I would've been a totally different person too.

Things started to turn around since I turned 12... By the most ironic twist! All I can say is god bless sony and the playstation. It was at an age where I wanted a gaming console so i asked my sis for advice because she had friends who played those kinda stuff. Well, the interaction between the 2 of us made us closer and after that we became buddies. I made a pact with myself that I will buy all of sony's gaming machines out of gratitude and so far... I've been true to that pact hehe... PS3? seems quite pricey... Any sponsors? Anybody? Hello?

Like my mom, my sis also taught me on the ways of a gentleman... How to treat a girl well and all that stuff. Haha hey! I've received training manz! Shan't go into the details but I hope I can one day exercise what I've learnt from them on someone special(BLEHZ) hehe. I'm really grateful... Used to go out with her very often. So more or less the basic things im quite proficient liao haha. Note: QUITE

Eversince she started flying I dun get to see her as often but somehow we try to find time to talk when she's in sg. And whenever she goes overseas she'll ask me what I want(but so pai seh I tell her I don't want anything unless sg doesn't sell it) and would at the same time buy stuff home for the whole family. Now, I always have a stable supply of clothes and chocolates haha. Recently, she spent over 300 bucks in the US for me... To buy me a Nintendo DS lite and some games. I initially told her to get it for me and I pay her back but she wanted to subsidise it and in the end... she paid for it in full. I was already grateful for the effort but for her to volunteer... Which sister would do that? They can also say they dun wanna help u get it right? Ok, even if there are other sisters like that, MINE BETTER! The week after, she also got me a new t-shirt... I have a great elder sis. Thanks sis, I love u.

Hit by inspiration!!!

I'm so sorry to my legions of adoring fans for such a drought of information for the past few weeks! Life as it is, on one hand dealth me a painful blow but on the other hand has also let me know that I'm loved and also given me the sweetest feeling(U know what I mean... BLEHZ) a man can ever get. Anyway, my next step in life, making tons of $$$!

Nowadays, I find that I'm looking more and more forward to my ORD date and life after this phase. 8+ more months then I can finally punch the air and shout out loud: ORD LOH!!! Give me some thumbs up! We shall dance and be merry when the time comes ;) *choir sings* Halleluyah!
