Retail therapy that's not exactly therapy

Met up with my sis last week for lunch and I wanted to eat at Food Republic at Wisma because their hokkien noodles are quite good(but the service is shit!) and I had a hokkien noodle craving but she wanted to eat at Far East. Long story short, hokkien noodles there were bland. That day was supposed to be a day for retail therapy but was in truth only only 85 bucks worth of retail therapy... If u consider that all that 85 bucks went to a pair of guess jeans then yes that's retail therapy, or should I say "retail therapy". The other 150 bucks went into buying work clothes! I bought a colour that I also never thought that I'll ever wear... pink... Sis's recommendation lah(All the clothes I got that day was sis's recommendation anyway). Luckily she also chose(and bought for me) a great tie to go along with it! Thanks sis! For work clothes i got 2 new shirts , a tie and a new belt. I wanted to get a Braun Buffel belt initially but because it was(!!) 99 bucks I had to settle for Pierre Cardin because its 42 bucks... What to do? Since I'm not earning yet I have to choose the lesser of 2 evils. In this case it's monetary evils! I must get that BB belt once I start earning!

What made me feel dumb was that when I got home I found out that the pink Italian shirt I got was too large! I bought the clothes that day based on collar size ah. That made me feel so stupid! Anyway my mom brought me back the next day to change the shirt for a new one. Only thing was that there was no more new ones as the smaller ones were all snapped up so she had to choose some new stuff for me(I admit! I've terrible fashion sense!). No Problem anyway my mom chose another pink shirt for me and at the same time she got me another new shirt :P so not bad lah. I changed for a new shirt and at the same time I got another shirt sponsored by mom :D After that, in appreciation for my mom's help I blanjah her dinner at Food Republic. This time for REAL hokkien noodles! Gloria shared the noodles with mom but was still hungry and I had to buy Chicken Rice for her... she's getting fatter!

After dinner, I joined(in alphabetical order) Alfred, Frank, Geraldine and James at "Harry's at the Esplanade" for drinks. I haven't seen them for the longest time already. Had a yellow submarine that was terrible(Hard Rock Cafe sells the best damned yellow submarine, PERIOD!), Heineken beer and shared one big cup of beer with Geraldine... I only had a sip but it was good! Better than the Heineken! Anyway Heineken is the best cheap beer lah so I don't think I can complain too much. Cocktail faux pas aside, the live band performing there was fantastic. It made me almost want to get up and dance although I dance as bad as or worse than a bathroom dancer... Wait... I AM a bathroom dancer! Anyway it was the music that made me wanna stay but staying would've caused me to miss the last train but thank god I caught it! ...Although I had to put in some effort to catch it(Running lah, What else?). Earlier that evening, Geraldine blanjah us some liquor chocolates from choz too. I used to hate those chocolates but those chocolates from choz made me a believer.... I BELIEVE!!! FREE AT LAST!!!! FREE AT LAST!!!! Not to mention their service is great too! Thumbs up!

...Did I mention that James seemed so happy and alive when he was talking to Geraldine? Other than that he looked very out of it(not to mention that his "I hate taking pics" stand dramatically changed when he took pics with her) hahaha Now u know why I didn't talk as much as I normally do with u right Geraldine?

The feeling of being free

On one hand, living life as a free man for the past 2 weeks is shiok! On the other hand, I've noticed that im not getting any richer! I dunno why my army pay this month is so miserable... that is until my friend said they deducted it due to our slightly higher first pay(which was to pay for our army equipment at beachroad... someone complain to the army that commander BMTC cheated us when he said "dun worry the army will provide for everything. your son dun need to fork out a single cent") and that we "subscribed" to stupid pioneer magazine(i dun even read that crap!). Infuriation aside, lucky I got 200 bucks for getting a gold award for my fitness test and that im getting another 300 bucks for the tax hike(why has taxes been increasing every year here?). Anyway thank god im starting work on June 25 so friends... lets meet up soon ok? TS? I haven't met y'all for quite awhile already! Can we meet up?

Life has been rather uneventful also... I've been trying to sell my mountain bike too! Lelong! Lelong! Under utilised 3 year old GT avalanche 3.0 hardtail MTB being sold on the cheap! Excellent condition. disc brakes, front suspension(its a hardtail), Shimano XT deore rear deraileur, Shimano PD-M545 pedals, Cateye light, rear light, comes with a foldable bike stand and bike cover and 1 free box of c size batts for the bike's light! Will be back with an update of what i'll be up to during the weekends! I'm literally days away from getting my blogging groove back! *muack* ~blehz~

Bless be god, bless be his holy name

I really have to thank almighty God for helping me today. I got the job!!! Although I would like to believe that it was a breeze I have to admit.... I was nevous(hey it's my first interview)!!! I knew my company would be a good one, I never expected it to be SPECTACULAR!!!!! Hahahahaha I hope that when i start working I will do well and everything goes smoothly. Oh and the job requitres me to travel too. I love travelling!! Hehe did I mention they sponsor for education? :D

Just when I thought that the end of my supposed passion, the army career that I almost took, was the end of me. Everything turned around for the better. The moment I entered ETI my world came crashing down(it came crashing down when it was announced during OCS social night). Both my knees got injured and I got a spine injury and was out of course from my Officer Cadet course(2 months before being Lieutenant Lionel...). But since entering Army Medical Training Institute everything took a turn for the better. I got a easy going vocation and had good superiors. Not only that, during that time I managed to know the most important person to me, My darling Amie. Now I have a job that I am very thankful for!

I hoped in the lord and he has stooped down to me. He heard my cries for help. He has pulled me out from the pits of death. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Amen.
