What a week! Imagine spending your birthday in camp! I did, and it felt craptastic. What cheered me up that day were the SMSes that my friends sent me(you know who you are). To the rest: HOW CAN YOU FORGET MY BIRTHDAY?!?! T_T I feel so unwanted... lonely... cold... empty... manz!

Adding on to the bad news, when I went for my med appointment at AH, I found out from the specialist that my left knee tendon was slightly torn! At first it was nerve injury, then they later found out it was also a tendon tear! I was like "SHITE MAN!". Not to worry, my back's better now, I've started carrying heavier stuff around and the knee'll probably get better in a month's plus time(I've been out of action for 2+ months already!) and thankfully, in time for DF pro term... I hope.

On a more positive note, I went to my admin officer and asked about the status of my returning to OCS and just saw the mail my @ wing wing comd sent to the office. I'll try to replicate it as accurately as I saw it.

Based on his performance in OCS, OCT Lionel was found to be highly motivated and (can't remember but it was good words). We highly recommend him to return to OCS as soon as his condition improves.

Ok, there was more, I forgot alot of it but these are the important details, but I felt so happy to see it! My wing comd's such a great man! Seeing his name on that email itself already made me so happy I wanted to cry. No matter how simple the initials, cm, were I felt like I was back at @ wing! This is like one of the best birthday presents a soldier can ever get! One of the people you respect the most writing for you a recommendation letter and you feeling a glimmer of hope of attaining your officership. Now, I only need the other higher ups in the combat vocations office and OPC to approve my return! Better pray hard!

Oh, DVDs are taking up most of my rest time now eversince my uncle loaned me his portable DVD player! What a guy! Next week, Star wars, Band of Brothers, Gladiator and more Transformers. Not to mention my roommate, Philip bringing in his DVDs too! Hopefully more guys decide to stay in with us and bring in more DVDS! Have to start to pest our korean soldier(our on-off stay in personnel, 2lt Lee Jae Hee) to bring some DVDs too!

End of the week, went KBOX with 2 other guys in my office. Jonathan and YitHann. 3 of us only... Anson and Philip, AKA Ass1 and Ass2, flew our airplanes. Neither their catalogue's nor the system's userfriendliness was anywhere as good as the one at party world. They were only good for chinese songs and not much else. Sad... but other than that, we had a good time! Albeit not as kickass as the one when I went out with the clan, probably because there were not as many people there. Took some pics there. Will upload them on friendster as soon as I get them, if I get them.

Finally, I've written THE letter. To send or not to send?

Ok I admit, I wasn't paying much attention in church for easter. Why? I bumped into Rasyidi, who is my friend from OCS Alpha, at bugis earlier in the day. They just came back from taiwan... I was supposed to be with them! Now they are just waiting to be commissioned as officers and what about me? Anyway, next week is medical examination! Hopefully I pass and the only hurdle is the interview! Should be able to pass lah. All these issues kept bothering me and the more I tried not to think about the more it came. Resulting in me not giving my full attention in church as I should...

But what got my full attention was the daughter of my parents' friends from Australia, Catherine. Really, she looks like an ANGEL descended from the highest heavens to save all humanity! Although I didn't talk to her, we were smiling at each other ALOT!(to squid: see! This time I got GUTS!) Oh, and did I mention my neck was burning at 1ooo degrees celcius when we came face to face? Anyway, as perfect as she may be. She stays in Australia, doesn't stay in Singapore, comes like once in a year or 2... and I'm in the army and gonna be a trainee again. Very difficult to get to know her better. So, at the end of the day, we smiled at each other and waved goodbye. Maybe tonight for dinner at the restaurant I'll ask her for her email add :)

Oh crap, I'm 22 tomorrow... Goodbye youthful adolesence I'll miss ya. But now, I have to fight the good fight for my beloved country!

Eating is every Singaporeans' passion, I wholeheartedly agree. Recently, while at my old place with my parents we discovered where one of the best hokkien noodles stores which have eluded us for years have finally relocated! Thank god because I have been eating from that store since I was young :P Haha even the uncle remembers me, of course lah! Although it wasn't as good as before, eating his hokkien noodles after so long brought tears to my eyes man, think its because he doesn't add as much ingredients but I don't care. Very few stores matches his noodles and even fewer surpasses(not that I've eaten any as good as or better)! UPS! Who wanna join me there again for the next round of hokkien noodles?

Halleluyah! I just got a new CD! Gackt's "diabolos"! Was walking around jp after church and saw the cd in mj. Didn't have to think twice, immediately grabbed it and made the purchase and I didn't know whether the reviews were good at all! Thakfully after listening to it over and over for the past few days have dispelled my fears! Definitely better than his past albums! Up there with his mars album! Hopefully I can get the "circle" album by B'Z! Jrock is definitely getting better than it's western counterparts! What is this?! Oh well, at least we have "faith" and "stadium arcadium" by hyde and rhcp at the end of the month and next month. Life will be noisier by then...

Retail therapy!!! Bought somemore Ki-Ki-Ku-Ku-Ka-Ka-ing, Starwars Figures and the Delorean and Airwolf miniture figures. Although I burnt a hole in my pocket... I'm a happy man! Was out with Al cuz he's gonna go to Thailand, dun join the TNN(Teh Neh Neh) club ah, for a yeah long detachment. Poor guy, the camp isn't anywhere near Bangkok! Anyway, saw this really pretty girl while at Earth X Toys Collectibles and couldn't stop looking at her(we were exchanging glances and smiled at one another alittle) and my neck was burning, wasn't even paying attention to Al when he was talking to me and Geraldine was doing a recce of her! Too bad her mom was with her, wanted to strike a conversation with her ah hehe... Gotta make that place my new regular toy store!

After Big Aunty and her GF left and Al and I were left, we walked abit more till we bumped into Basil and Brad. Joined them for some drinks then left and that's when shit happened, LITERALLY! On the way to the train station I felt something drop on my head, thinking it was just a dried twig and the natural reaction is to brush off whatever is on your head is the first thing you do and when I looked at my hand, I saw bird poo on my finger! UGH! Lucky Al was with me and helped me clean it off. Got him to help buy 4D for me and comfirm sure win BIG wan, UP!
