James is gonna cry like a baby when he reads this blog entry...

On one hand, my sis is nolonger living at home but on the other hand there's a new member in my family now, my brother in law. My sister is officially Mrs. Iino now. I'm so gonna miss her when she leaves Singapore to Japan next year... At least I know if I need anything from Japan I have sis to turn to hehe. But home will nolonger be as noisy as it used to and I won't have anyone to talk to till late anymore. Wierd... the moment I made a tribute to my sis, the next moment, which is 6 months later, she gets married.

The night before the church wedding, My cousin, Delphine came to stay over since she's the bride's maid and was in my room doing work(she's an editor in a local magazine) and while doing work we were talking till late, like 2 am late causing me to wake up like a zombie haha. On the day itself though I was surprised I didn't wake up looking like frankenstein. I did though look like james bond :D

During the church wedding I was the lector for the second reading and was fearful of repeating what happened 6 years ago during my cousin's wedding. I was lector for the first reading and I choked and my voice "zhao sia"(pitch becomes higher). After Grace came down and I had to go up I was telling myself "keep cool, you're perfect!" haha and even winked to my sis on my way up. Making her think I was very confident when i was actually shaking while i was reading the bible passage(and had to move about alittle). And thank the almighty one I didn't choke. Lunch after the mass was incredible too! But that was after the excruciating process of taking pictures because we had to shout for family members from either side(especially mine because it's HUGE) to join the group for photo taking. We had Italian food from pasta fresca da salvatore!!! My fav italian restaurant! Everything there's fresh!!! The highlight of the lunch was ultra rich Lasagne and the creamy Tiramisu :P I was in heaven.

Dinner was at Traders Hotel but not before going to my sis's hotel room to rehearse with my Japanese co emcee, Hidy. Japanese people look so young! She's in her late 30s but she looks like she's in her early 30s. The food provided by room service was also incredible even though its only french fries and a sandwich. After having those finger food there... Macdonald's fries and the sandwich at Ngee Ann(my old school) don't even come close!

Before the wedding dinner My cousins Delphine, Evengeline,Grace and I were at the reception area directing the guests to the dinner area. But during that time Hidy and I were talking about how nervous each of us were. She went to the nearby pub for a drink saying alcohol would make the nervousness go away while I Evangeline got for me a white wine that i gulped down in one go. It didn't help but luckily once I was on stage the nervousness went away(the nervousness goes away when someone up there with you) and I actually had alot of fun onstage talking and making everyone laugh due to a small screw up. The bigger screw up(which is too embarrassing to mention) made Hidy and I crouch to hide behind the emcee's stand. But all in all everything went smoothly.

There my sister goes... There she goes...

A countdown and meeting my sis's in-laws

Cool! 2 months minus 1 day more in National Slavery and I'll be free!!!!! Tomorrow's also my ORD dental FFI which is dental checkup before I leave the army to check if I got tooth decay because of the army. And on the 22 is my ORD medical checkup to check if I contracted any STDs during the time I was in service!

Went to Fullerton Hotel today with my family to meet Katsu's parents from Japan. Talking to them was a struggle considering my limited diction of the language but thankfully I also didn't talk to them :P It was my parents hahaha. I just said I'm joeanna's brother and I'm 23 years old. Anyway, they got me this little handmade clay pot-like thing to put stuff in. I still haven't figured it out yet but I'll prolly put stuff in it. Dinner was in Jade restaurant and it was really good! I liked the butter fried prawns and the fish with finely chopped mushrooms especially! Desserts was pumpkin in a mini coconut with coconut ice cream inside, the first time i actually liked pumpkin was having this dessert. After that we went to the merlion to walk around and while I was walking around there I was thinking to myself how nice it would be if I could also bring my babe there with me.

Retail Therapy

Is a good thing to indulge in once in awhile! And I'm very proud to say it. Even when I blew off 150 bucks at GAP yesterday(there goes my ang bao money) and oddly, it felt good. The clothes at GAP are just so nice and neat! Too bad It's too ex. Luckily they had a 30% (almost storewide)discount helping me save 64 bucks in the process or else I'll never buy anything there. My purchase? A pair of jeans and 2 shirts all chosen by my older sis. She said: "Trust your sister, you'll never go wrong when the clothes are chosen by me." I only wish I'm richer so that I could buy more stuff from there. I heard GAP's gonna close down(NO!!!!!!!!!) due to it's exorbitant prices(would you buy a sweat shirt that costs $300?). GAP, you're an excellent boutique(they have great customer service) but your prices are too high. Hate to see you go but unless you slash prices I'm afraid you'll not last the next 6 months. The whole store was empty even though it was on sale.
