A new perspective

Due to my OOC status, there's a much higher degree of freedom in camp now than when I was a chao cadet. Am I still sore about it? Yeah! Who wouldn't be? 3 more months before becoming an officer and your body says NO. Anyway, was taking a morning walk around camp on a sun morning and I walked to SAF MDC(the army's Music and Dance Company) which was a once a Colonial British army building. Walking around the 2 storey building that fuses the old and new showed a transition of the world then and now because part of it was the colonial building and the other half was the studios. The experience was heightened especially since I was the only person walking around in that lone building on top of a hill since nobody was bothering me thus allowing me to enjoy it in all it's glory all to myself, too bad I didn't have a camera with me, so many angles available allowing for amazing shots! I could imagine how the then colonial troops felt when they walked down the narrow corridors and stairs unlike the much wider ones we have now in SAF camps which allows for faster troop movement boosting operational readiness. The interior of the building however, was more civvy than military and I think I better stop describing it lest I get sorted out haha. All in all, walking around camp in the cool and gentle morning breeze was... SHIOK AH! Being it during a weekend, unfortunately, was NOT...

Next week, my OOC upperstudy Chirs will be posted out and there'll leave the 3 of us lao jiaos but another 2 "new birds"(xing jiaos?) will join us! Hope we can get along and there'll be lesser SK on every individual's part. 2 of the OOC personnel were picking touch-me-nots outta the rugby field this week and I felt sorry for them and bought them each a drink because I was not allowed to join them. Must be my back...

Round 2 of my Transformers marathon coming up next! Ki-Ki-Ku-Ku-Ka-Ka! God, I love that sound! Priceless!
